I use headphone mode using the roku mobile app every night since getting my hisense roku TV a few months ago. Suddenly about a week or two ago, I tried to open the app and it kept freezing on me and crashing. I uninstall the app and reinstalled, and the crashing stopped.
However, whenever I try to use headphone mode, the TV goes quiet like it is working but nothing comes through the headphones. It doesn't let me turn off headphone mode when this happens, like the button is frozen (but I can do other things on the app). Then the TV gets the sound back and the app crashes.
I've tried uninstall the app, restarting my TV, and software is up to date on all devices. I've also tried restarting my internet router and disconnected and reconnected internet on both devices.
I'm not sure what else to do, but it is super frustrating. I use this feature every single night, so losing it is not ideal. Any help would be appreciated!
Is this on the Android version of the Roku app, or the iOS version? We seem to have more problems reported with the iOS version.
Did you restart the phone between uninstalling and reinstalling the app? That can make sure all traces of the original installation are removed.
