Roku Ultra LT remote... IR, or RF?

Jump to solution

Can anyone tell me with any degree of certainty whether the remote control(s) that come with a Roku Ultra LT are of the RF or IR (infra-red) variety?  I get both answers depending on where I look, which isn't terrifically helpful.  IR remotes are a deal-breaker for me because they're basically line-of-sight, where the RF can be pointed in almost any direction and through obstacles and they still work.  All the product info spouts endlessly about how wonderful the product is without covering all the tech bases, as usual.  Thanks.

Look for the phrase "voice remote".  They're all RF.  I think the Ultra LT is only sold at Walmart and according to the Walmart description it comes with a voice remote.

TV controls (if it has them) will be IR (unless you can get CEC working).
