Pls help? Don't know really what the deal is and don't feel like dropping another 100 on a new one. Would post a vid but apparently it won't let me. I would access the settings like Google suggests but I can't get to the settings of the TV if it never fully turns on

I think you can only link to a video that you've uploaded somewhere.  I've seen free video hosting sites, but I've never tried one.

Does using the button on the TV (which can be hard to find) act the same as the button on the remote?  Is there any light flashing on the TV?  If it turns off immediately after it turns on, that sounds like it could be a major problem.  I hope it's still under warranty.  One thing to try is to leave it unplugged overnight, but that may be a temporary fix at best.
