Roku Streaming Quiz Game Where Is It?

What happened to the Roku Streaming Quiz Game? One day it was there, and the next day it was gone! I really liked it!

Update:

I didn't realize this happened to others. It appears that this was a casualty of the 14.5 OS update. I'm still on 14.1 with my Roku Ultra and it's there, but on my Roku Express Plus which is on 14.5, it's not there. According to Cord Cutters news, this will be restored in the next few days.

If you're referring to Daily Trivia, it's still there and I just played it to make sure it was working. I don't usually play it so I hide it from my menu.

To place it back into your menu:

Go to Settings/Home screen/Daily Trivia and select "Show"

If Daily Trivia is not appearing under "Home screen" (under "Menu items") in settings, then let Roku know:

After pressing the home button on your Roku remote to make sure you are back at the home screen, wait a moment and then press the Home button 5x and the Back button 5x and post back here in this thread with that information to let Roku know you aren't seeing Daily Trivia on your Roku device.

Thanks so much for your reply! When this happened, the first thing I did was go to Settings and Home Screen to see if it was mistakenly hidden, but it didn't even appear on the list! I followed your instructions to tap the home key five times and the back key five times, and that didn't work either. My software version is 14.1.4 and is a Roku stick. (A few years old). It's telling me the last update was in Dec. of 2024 and it checks for updates everyday, and it had been working up until a couple of days ago. 

Thanks also for giving me the correct title, it was "Daily Trivia".

Thanks for replying to my post as it confirmed that this disappearance of the daily trivia isn't because of the 14.5 OS update after all. Roku appears to be delaying this newest update to our older devices because of this update error that they're trying to resolve. My aging Ultra that's still on OS 14.1.4 also hasn't been updated since 12/19/24, so this is normal and our devices are still supported by Roku. I happened to check my Roku 3 which is very old but still supported -- around 13 years old, which is on 14.1, and this doesn't have the daily trivia on it either. After checking this morning, my Ultra, however, still has it, so Roku didn't remove it, and it appears to be an error that needs to be resolved. 

Following those steps with the remote control below doesn't resolve anything; all it does is pull up the "Issue Report Tracker" so that Roku support can further help you, but this is no longer necessary since it's a known issue that is happening to many people including a couple of my Roku devices. However, if you want to see if you can bring that up in the event you may one day need it, try repeating those steps but do it slower. When I quickly hit those remote buttons, it didn't work for me either. Also if you still find you can't bring that up, try to aim the remote at the device. You also may have to rotate or remove and re-insert the remote control batteries (if your remote has removable batteries as the new voice remotes don't have that).

I will definitely keep your advice on the "Issue Report Tracker" in mind! I had no idea that even existed! Good news though...I turned on Roku this afternoon, and lo! and behold! Daily Trivia is back!!! I had to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things! They did update it, it looks different and has some things added that makes it even more fun!

Thanks for letting me know that it has returned. I was able to update my two Roku devices, and after a restart, it reappeared for me. So I posted on the other thread that it had returned, and how to get it back if it's not showing up by manually updating and restarting the device. As it never left my Ultra, when I played it during the last two days to see if it was working, I thought it looked different, but I hadn't played it in a while so I wasn't sure. I guess they removed it to make sure it was working right before adding it again.

The next hurdle is when our devices update to 14.5, but, hopefully, when that happens, Roku will have fixed that issue. If not then this Issue Tracking Board thread will come in handy along with my post here which is on page 10 of the thread. I just looked at the thread and there's a new post with someone having this Error code 004 issue; although, on more careful inspection, it appears that they're posting because they resolved the issue on that Roku since it's on OS 14.5.
