Roku Streambar remote requires battery replacement every 2 weeks!

Jump to solution

I read through the posts related to battery drains, tried the all of the troubleshooting found in the forum, nothing worked.

What is the solution to this problem? It is ridiculous that the batteries drain so fast. If I had known, I would not have bought Roku but gotten Amazon stick or something that would cost me and the environment less!

You might switch to IR universal remote, the Insignia 5-1 at Best Buy is on clearance for $8.49:

Insignia™ 5-Device Backlit Universal Remote Black NS-RMT5D21 - Best Buy

The roku code in it is 3061. I give you the Roku cec commands for Volume, mute, and power? You would need them if your TV cec controls the volume of the Streambar.
