Roku Express Not Playing Through Sound Bar Connected to Vizio TV

I have a Vizio smart tv. There is a soundbar connected via an ARC/HDMI cable. The tv has only 1 HDMI port out so I have it connected to an HDMI switch to accomodate additional devices. I installed a Roku Express 4K+ device onto a port on the switch. The Roku is accessed through the menu inputs on the Vizio remote control but works just fine except that I can not get sound through the soundbar, it is coming through the tv. I have checked settings on the Vizio and on the Roku but nothing is making a difference. Is there a solution? Thank you.
