What Roku model? Only some of them are capable of direct Bluetooth connections to headphones/speakers.
Some of the newer Roku devices with the latest chips now have the capability of sending audio to Bluetooth devices directly. As of Apr 22, 2025, Roku lists these devices as having this capability:
• Roku Streambar SE
• Roku Streambar
• Roku Streambar Pro
• Roku Smart Soundbar
• Roku Ultra (models 4800, 4802, 4850)
• Roku Ultra LT (model 4801)
• Roku Select Series HD TV (2025)
• Roku Plus Series TV
• Roku Pro Series TV

Rokus other than the specific Roku models mentioned in that article are not equipped to send Bluetooth and this capability cannot be added by a software update. For them you must use the Roku Remote app on a phone or tablet, and connect the Bluetooth audio device to the phone/tablet.
And finally, I don't know about your Bose headphones, but my no-name Bluetooth earbuds will only connect to my Roku 4800 when NOT connected to any other Bluetooth source.
