Repeated Random loss of connection started recently; Roku channel not working

I am having the same problem when I select a channel from the menu the screen goes blank and goes into buffering mode indefinitely, please advise

In general any or all channels are affected. Already tried multiple times Remove the channel, restart the device, and add the channel. Could the unit , which is 5 years old, fail?

Have you tried restarting your router? If so, please try resetting the network on the device.

Here's how:

  1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select Advanced system settings.
  4. Select Network connection reset.
  5. Select Reset connection.
