I have an insignia TV that my Roku remote has always controlled the power. Another TV is Vizio and the remote would control the power and sound. 2 different remotes. (Someone was bound to ask) both stopped working within weeks of each other. Batteries replaced, updates done, both reset, repaired, no luck. I can't find any solution. Any advice?
You said "repaired", but does that include going through the "Set up remote for TV control" procedure under Settings->Remotes & devices->Remotes->[voice remote]?
I did all the things.
I have this same problem. My remote controlled my TV's power and sound until it suddenly didn't, maybe a month or so ago (it's currently 9/19/2023).
I've tried changing batteries, (re)setting up for tv control, updating the software, restarting the system... Everything I could find. Nothing has worked.
My TV is a Dynex, and I tried that as well as Insignia, which Roku detects it as. None worked.
My Roku Ultra is model #4670X, and my software version is 12.0.0, build 4184-46. My serial number is YJ00AF054397.
Any suggestions?
