Remote stopped connecting yet says connected, now won't let me connect again

Jump to solution

Hello,

My voice remote has worked perfectly, but today was saying to reconnect it, so I went through the steps. It still says I have a voice remote connected and the remote indicator does flash like it says, but nothing is happening nor is it saying anything on my tv. I'm unsure what to do, I have brought the remote right to the tv as well and they are new batteries, I've also taken the batteries out

Hi @Evan28

Glad you brought this to us!

It seems like your remote has become disconnected from your TV. No worries, though—there's a simple workaround that might help you out. Just give this a try:

  1. Unplug your Roku TV from the wall outlet. If you're using a Roku device, make sure to unplug it from the HDMI port and the power source as well.
  2. Remove the batteries from the remote.
  3. Wait for about 15 seconds before plugging everything back in.
  4. First, plug the TV or device back in, and then insert the batteries into the remote. Once you're back on the home screen, try pairing the remote again.

For more information on how to pair the remote, you can follow this link.

Let me know if that does the trick!
