Quick Setup Guide (For All Models)

Welcome, Community Users!

Congratulations on your new Roku device! 🎉 This guide will walk you through the essential steps to get your Roku player or Streaming Stick up and running. Let's get started!

  1. Connect the Roku Device to Your TV
    Ensure your TV has an HDMI port and plug your Roku device into it.

  2. Connect to the Network

    • No Ethernet? Connect via Wi-Fi.
    • Roku players with Ethernet ports? Use a compatible third-party Ethernet adapter for a wired connection.
    • For Roku Streaming Sticks: Connect via Wi-Fi.
  3. Download Updates
    Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install any software updates.

  4. Set Up Your Roku Voice Remote
    Pair your Roku voice remote with your TV to control power and volume.
    For Roku Players: Insert matching batteries, remove the pull tab, and point it at the front of the device.

  5. Activate Your Device

    • Create or sign in to your Roku account at my.roku.com/signup or the Roku mobile app.
    • Link your device by visiting the activation link sent to your email or scanning the QR code on your screen.
  6. Enjoy Your Roku!
    You're all set! Personalize your Roku with new themes, screensavers, and streaming channels.
