The Roku live TV channels are blocking Y/Y7 content. Why would that ever happen? It's the lowest setting, so in theory it should be impossible to block Y/Y7 content. The parental blocking doesn't seem to be working properly. TCL 3 Series.
I currently have parental controls set to Y, Y7, only (no PG, no TV-14). Yet, randomly about half of the content that IS actually rated Y7 (cartoons, etc.) is also blocked for no reason and requires a PIN anyway. What is going on here?
It looks like you're saying there's no option to allow all of the Y's (including Y7) while disallowing PG and up. Is that correct? Doesn't that seem like an oversight? This means that I cannot actually allow all the children's programming while excluding everything else.
Hi, @Kanbei85.
Greetings from the Roku Community!
If I understand correctly, you're inquiring about there's no option to allow TV-Y and TV-Y7 content while blocking PG and above. Unfortunately, our current parental controls don’t offer this specific combination. We understand this limitation and will pass your feedback on to our team for future improvements.
If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please let us know. Thank you for your patience!
Regards,
Reynan
I am unable to use parental blocking at all, since it is extremely glitchy and winds up blocking lots of children's programming even if I do set it to PG.
