Hi there,
I couldn’t find this exact issue in the community, but apologies if it has been asked previously.
I have a 3810X/streaming stick+ combined with a circa 5 yr old Bauhn 4K TV.
My issue is that when I switch on the TV via the CEC control, I get no audio (menus, channels, anything). Restarting the Roku doesn’t solve, but restarting the TV does.
I can’t seem to solve via any of the settings on Roku nor TV (it isn’t a particularly smart TV, pre-dates AndroidTV and FireTV being the norm).
Just wondered if anyone has experienced or has a solve…
Thanks!
Lou
Is this only when starting the TV from the Roku remote? I have been having an issue with Roku cancelling all CEC audio when it is plugged in. That said, I have not tried turning the TV on with the regular remote. I will give this a try and see if things are different.
To "fix" mine, I have to unplug Roku and then restart TV and Soundbar.
Yeah, only happens when switching on via CEC. It’s intermittent too, sometimes works ok but more often it doesn’t. Standby cycle using manufacturer’s remote fixes it…
