New express 4k, NO channels found all shows unavailable

Got a new roku express 4k+.  It installed fine, but going to search, EVERY single show says unavailable.  I try searching for channels to add, there isn't a single channel.  I can add them all via the website, but the device itself, nothing works.  The main page works, if I add a channel through the website we can use it on the main page and it streams fine, but we can't use any of the search functions and everything shows unavailable.

So we can't use the search to watch anything, we can't use the search to add anything.  I have tried reset, factory reset, etc.  Nothing works.  Not sure what to do.

So we solved the problem by returning the unit and buying a new one.  The new one works flawlessly.  So apparently the issue was a defective unit.
