New ATT router Roku connection error 009

I had a Roku 4k stick for over a year, working fine on ATT fiber 1000. We had a tech come out and update the router. The Roku sees the network at excellent strength but doesn’t connect. Can use my phone hotspot fine to connect. I did a factor reset on Roku and reset router. Also check router settings. 2.4GHz band changed to b/g/n, channel 11 at 20MHz. 5GHz is on N/AC/AX, 80MHz bandwidth. Both on WPA-2 security. I read the stick should be able to pickup either 2.4 or 5 Wi-Fi signals. Any thoughts to troubleshoot? Change the N/Ac/Ax to just N?

@pigeonbreath

Everything re:settings look good.

Try creating a Guest Network (on either the 2.4ghz or 5ghz) and see if able to connect.

Additionally, if you have an accompanying router app, look to make sure you have not "Paused/Prohibited" access of your Streaming Stick to the network. (or internet access).  Look in your router to make sure you don't have to 'whitelist' connected devices.

The 009 is an "internet connection error".  Kind of makes me think the connection is just being blocked by router or app. (or a setting in the router controlling access to connected devices).

Although you didn't state you are having a password error 14.30, try changing the password on both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz to avoid any special characters and see if that helps. (just use numbers and letters in password for troubleshooting).  In addition to the WPA2, verify that it is WPA2-Personal (or PSK).

What is the router model number you were updated to?
