I have problems with the rechargeable kind of remotes not holding a charge.

I have five Rokus and have been using them for many years.  Lately I’ve been having difficulty with two of the remotes that are frequently showing on the TV screen that their batteries need to be recharged.  This still happens even after charging the remote overnight or coming back to use that TV after several days of not using the remote.  The next time I go to use either of these remotes, I’m still getting a prompt to recharge the remote.

Re: I have problems with the rechargeable kind of remotes not holding a charge.

Welcome to the Roku Community, @5DeviceUser!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We'd be more than happy to review your concern to determine the cause and find you the best resolution possible.

Kindly provide us with additional details, such as the following:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
  • Photo of the pop-up notification.
  • Is this the remote that came with your Roku devices? If not, kindly specify if this is a Roku Voice Remote Pro or Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd edition)

In the meantime, kindly try to reset this remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. After doing so, pair it again and observe if the batter level notification will still pop up.

We'll be looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Carly
