How to program Cox Mini Box

Jump to solution

New installation with 32" Roku TV and Cox mini-box.  I have basic functions (channel change, volume change and off/on) working using code 1756, I think I remember this correctly.

When I power on, the TV goes to the home screen and I have to use the TV remote to select Cable Box as input then I see cable tv input.  This means I need to manipulate both remotes to get to the cable channel that was in use.

My wife will be real unhappy if this is the way it has to be.  what am I missing?

You can set what screen the roku tv powers on to through the settings:

settings> system> power > power on> check the cable device
