Your Wi-Fi password has nothing to do with your remote working or not. Assuming you're speaking of a Roku Voice Remote, it makes a direct connection with your Roku device without the need for your Wi-Fi at all. Try pairing the remote again.

If you still don't have any luck, it would help to know the model number of your Roku device written on it somewhere and whether or not you're using a Voice remote.
