Hi Everyone,
History: I bought a 4K stick Feb '25, and had connectivity issues from the start. FYI I have 2 other Rokus in my house, so I'm not a newbie and wanted to stick with what I knew. I followed advice trying to solve issues on my router side, rebooting several times, factory resets on the Roku, etc., nothing seemed to work. Funny thing was, sometimes it would 'connect', but would fail to download the update.
Life happened, and time went beyond the return date. I shrugged, and ordered another one. Doing some reading, the WIFI receiver for the stick is on the cable. When the new stick came in the mail, I used the new cable with the stick the 'didn't work', and that was the problem. BTW, new cables are a lot cheaper than a new stick...

Just a note, Roku has added/released a couple new Streaming Sticks (3830 and 3840) in their new lineup and these no longer require the proprietary AWR/LRWR receiver cables that previous models 3810/3820 needed. (the 3820 still in the lineup will still require this cable),
