Erratic Response to Remote Commands

When selecting program choices with the remote, the highlighted option may jump two or more positions at a time.  For example, in trying to choose a PBS program episode instead of moving one at a time the highlight jumps over the intended target.  Extremely frustrating.

We have enhanced voice-enabled USB Roku device, though we do not use voice control. 

It has been working well until the last few days.

Is the streaming stick the culprit, or is it the remote?  What are our options?

It's happening to many, it's not just yours. Unplug the power cord for a bit, then plug it back in. It has helped many.
