I'm on the app on my Android phone and cannot for the life of me disable the remote from my phone?? I watch movies on phone and it automatically turns on my TV In the living room freaking out my parents when they are watching TV.. I need to disable the remote from the app..no other user just me any help would be appreciated

We will be more than happy to assist you further. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below:

1. Launch the Roku mobile app.
2. In the upper right corner, you will see an avatar icon. 
3. Select Devices in account.
4. Select the Roku device that you want to remove.
5. Select Remove device from the account.

That did not work it disabled my actual roku not the remote on the app!!! Remote doesn't even show up as a device just the actual roku

Thanks for the update!

It seems not to work for you, but let's try this.

1. Launch the Roku mobile app.
2. In the lower right corner, select Devices.
3. Select the device that you want to remove by tapping this icon ***
4. Then select Forget device.

Ty that worked..you have to FORGET THE ACTUAL DEVICE from the app, Then when you wanna watch on your phone you have to choose how you want to view the movie etc.. and pick your mobile device. If you want to use the remote on the app you have to reconnect the device back again which can get annoying. Hopefully ROKU will add an update that gives us the option to just delete the remote on/off button so much easier. Hope this helps anyone else
