Controlling the TV via the side buttons

I have a RokuTV that I am trying to use as a second monitor for my laptop via HDMI.

I do NOT have the remote.

It is NOT connected to Wifi, and if it was before, I do not have the name of the network it had been connected to.

So, my only means of navigating the menus on the TV are via the buttons on the side.

However, after selecting HDMI3 (Arc), because that was the only HDMI port that was an option on the menu, even though it has 3 of them, I get a popup menu about a "Better Smart TV Experience" that I cannot get to go away because the navigation buttons no longer work on this screen.

Is there a way to get past this screen so I can use the TV as a monitor, like I want?

Re: Controlling the TV via the side buttons

You don't have a box of old remote lying around? Roku tv's use remote code set that is 30 years old, many old oem remotes from cable and directv would control your Roku tv, list them.
