Can I cast from a hard drive connected to my desktop computer / shared on my network?

I found a cheap tv for sale and it's got Roku TV in it. I collect old TV shows that are hard to find and a lot not available for sale. I have the hard drive connected to my desktop computer and shared.. for example I can watch the videos on my phone.

Can I cast stuff from the desktop to the tv and if so how does it work? Is there a way to browse right from the TV and select files? Or do I have to somehow go to the computer and click something?

Sounds like you want to set up Plex on your PC and Roku.
