Black screen with vertical lines

I've had my roku tv for approximately 3-4 years now and yesterday I had unplugged from the outlet and plugged it into an extension cord I went to turn it on and what I was greeted by was a black screen and after a couple seconds a cluster of lines appeared (which I have a Photo of) I unplugged my TV and plugged it into a regular outlet just to be greeted by the same thing. I've tried searching this problem but I found nothing on. If I can fix this problem what will I need to do but if I can't so be it.

Re: Black screen with vertical lines

You can try a factory reset, but honestly I'd be surprised if it helped.

How do I factory reset my Roku® streaming device? | Official Roku Support

That appears to be an Element TV.  You could try replacing various parts within the TV, but it would be a **bleep** shoot and if there's any chance that the screen itself is damaged then there's no sense in even trying.  Search for problems with Element TVs.  The fact that it's a "Roku TV" doesn't really matter.

Re: Black screen with vertical lines

Sounds like an OS 12 update I have the same black screen waiting for an update.
