So my dog ate my roku remote and I am currently getting by with the iphone app which is a pain. I'm now thinking I will replace it with a universal remote (tv,roku HD, and stereo) instead of another roku brand remote.

Any suggestion in the under $20 camp?

The Onn 6 Universal remote ususally sold at Walmart makes a great Roku remote, you find them on ebay:

Do the Onn 6-Device Universal Remote or One For All Universal 8 Device Remote work with Roku sticks?  In other words, do they have RF?

Sorry but no. You need a $200 or more universal remote to control a roku stick.

Anyways no universal remote will control a Roku stick via WiFi er RF, if they control the stick its by IP, the internet.
