I am having the same problem as many other people. I just installed by new Roku Ultra 2024 model yesterday. Immediately, I noticed that the volume level was significantly lower than my older Roku Ultra model (2019?). While adequate volume was achieved at about level 20 on the older model, the new one requires between 60 and 80 level! The new Roku Ultra is connected directly to my tv using the supplied "high speed" HDMI cable. I have tried turning off "volume leveling" in settings, but no change. I have also tried restarting the Roku. What can be done to achieve the more normal volume levels I have experienced with my older Roku models?
Try changing Settings/Audio/Digital output format = Passthrough
Auto (default) transcodes all non-DTS audio to the highest detected Dolby level of the connected device - also, it MAY also impact volume levels (increase or decrease), depending.
