Are Remotes Prone to Breaking

I have 4 streaming devices and the remotes for 3 of the devices stopped working over the past three months. Are Roku voice remotes prone to stop working all of a sudden?

May we first know what type of Roku remote you are having this issue with and to what Roku streaming devices this was connected to? In addition, have you tried to change all of your remotes with a fresh new set of batteries or charge it if it is a rechargeable remote?

It's a Roku voice remote with the pinhole to the left of the power button connected to a Roku Streaming Stick 4K.  Yes, I tried changing the batteries and also re-pairing by holding "back" and "home" buttons down for 5 seconds, to no avail.  I purchased this remote directly from Roku within the past year because the previous one also broke.  It's worked for several months, but now just quit.  Can I send it back to Roku to get a free replacement?
