That series of TVs has composite INPUTS not composite OUTPUTS.

It has an Optical (digital audio) output.

If your receiver doesnt have any digital audio input capability (HDM/Optical/Coax), I highly recommend you upgrade to one that does.

If thats too expensive for you, you can try an Optical>RCA converter:

If you are using a Roku (model name/# unknown) with composite (RCA) output, just make sure you are connecting it to the INPUT jacks on your AVR (receiver) and have that input selected.

Otherwise, if you connect it to a TV and hear sound but dont hear sound from your AVR, its likely an AVR problem (connected to outputs/wrong input selected/broken inputs/AVR malfunctioning).

Hello streameruser, the model roku i have is the 60RE3 50". I hooked up the roku the same way i did with my previous TV . I didn't have any issue when i had my other tv hooked up and all i did was connect the rca lines in the same configuration. I'm wondering if i have to purchase other roku product to make this work?
