trouble watching PBS passport

I assume part of the problem has to do with the local Verizon tower bandwidth. We use a Verizon jetpack hotspot for our wifi connection. Our town, being a tourist spot, gets busy at times and the Verizon tower gets loaded down.

When it's like that I cannot get into the PBS passport channel. I can view other channels like Netflix, Disney, Britbox, etc. PBS Passport seems to time out and it just goes back to the home screen.

Is there some kind of a timeout you can adjust?

Re: trouble watching PBS passport

Hello @TSDan

Thanks for posting here in the Community!

In some cases, removing the affected channel and then reinstalling it helps. To ensure the process is successful, restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.

For detailed instructions, refer to this Support link: How do I resolve channel playback issues?

Let us know if there's any difference after.

All the best,
Kariza
