Solving playback issues

I have a streaming stick +,  it has started bouncing back to main menu 40 minutes into any show or channel im watching.  Also if you touch any button on the remote it too will take you back to main menu.  I have reset it. reset the remote, unplugged the stick from the tv, unplugged the stick from the tv as well as its power adapter.  reset the router.  

i need some help with this, thanks

How are you powering your Roku device? Is the device plugged into the TV USB port or is it plugged into a wall outlet?

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, can you please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About? I'll be able to assist you further from there.

My device is plugged into the HDMI port on the TV along with a power cable going from the outlet to the side of the Roku stick.

model       3810X roku streaming stick+

Serial number is: YHOOFY642857

software version 10.0.0 build 4209-50

After leaving the device unplugged and unpowered all night it still has the same issues.
