Since the new update, all of my Roku devices have been hindered. Is there a way to restore the previous version? YouTube TV keeps freezing and there is no longer a way to see which app you are choosing on the Home Screen. Has anybody found a way around these issues? Also, it would be nice if somebody from Roku could help.
Same problem with all 7 of my tv's in the house. 5 roku sticks and 2 roku tv's. I've done factory resets on all of them and it they will work fine for short period of time and then go back to freezing. Not buffering, but a total freeze, where you have to back out of the app. Rob
I am having the same problem on my 2 Roku devices. The YouTube TV stream freezes for a few minutes and then starts up randomly. I have run YouTube TV through a PC to my TV with no freezing issues. I have isolated it to something with both Roku devices.
I have 2 stick+ on tvs and same freezing started 2 days ago. So far only on YouTube TV app. Frequency varies about every 4-8 minutes. I can back up to menu screen and relaunch the app or wait another 4-6 minutes for it to unfreeze on its own. Frustrating!!
Update: I deleted the YTTV app from menu on one tv. Silly me! Now I have to use the YTTV mobile app on my phone to get the stream b/c Roku won't give me back the app! This time the stream went on for couple hours before I turned it off and went to my second tv where I used the mobile app to connect successfully. Lasted about 10 minutes then the same old random freezing was back. Time for Support to figure something out please! Next thing they're going to upgrade the app to require an iOS version my phone can't handle😡
