Vizio 2009 TV/Roku Express - apps turn off after 5 minutes
I am using a Vizio VA220E TV manufactured in 2009 and a Roku Express 3930x v 9.4 Build 4200 last updated Dec 9. When I watch YouTube Tv, VUit (local news app), and another local news app it will play for about 5 minutes and then automatically exit back to the Roku home screen. Netflix plays fine. I have tried turning the TV off and on. I have removed the apps, restarted Roku via the settings, and reinstalled apps. I have tried using the USB brick to plug directly into the wall. I have restarted the router and modem many times. I have tried both HDMI ports on the TV. The problem still exists. The Roku Express does work on 2 newer TV’s with no issues. I have read online that a Roku should work with any TV with a HDMI port, however, are there any known issues with the age of the TV and that is causing the apps to shut down after 5 minutes?
