I've been using Roku LT for streaming services but Western Digital Media streamer for playing video files located on my computer onto my smart television because fast forward with my Roku doesn't let you see the video content in fast forward. The WD is getting quirky after 8 years and WD no longer is in the streaming business.
Do the new Rokus allow you to see the image of what is going by in fast forward when you're playing your own files from your own computer?
Do all the Rokus do this now or just some?
Thank you
The device/firmware itself doesnt preclude FF/RW preview (thats app dependent). However, if you are referring to RMP (Roku Media Player), it does not support it.
Thank you for your comment.
It looks like even if I buy the latest Roku streamer to replace my current one, I still won't be able to fast forward and see what I;m going through with apps like Emby and Plex.
I guess I should be happy that I've saved $99 by not buying a new Roku!
