When I watch videos played on my MacBook Pro using VLC, they start and stop so that I miss some audio and video. The videos do not stop and start on my Mac. My Roku Stick+ shows an excellent network connection and that it is using Wifi. I have opened a ticket with Roku, but I thought I would ask the community in case anybody else has experienced this and found a solution. I'm running the latest versions of Big Sur and VLC, and my MacBook Pro is less than a year old. I see a reference to something called HomeKit, but when I scan the QR code with my phone, it gives a link that goes nowhere. I don't know that I need to set up HomeKit.
I also note that my Roku Streaming Stick+ is not found in the Associated Products.

Is there still an issue with AirPlay, or did you solve it?
Yes, there is still a problem for me. It makes my Roku nearly unusable.
The SS+ is dual band - try switching the SS+ to a 5Ghz SSID if on 2.4Ghz, or to a 2.4Ghz SSID if on 5Ghz (this requires that your SSIDs for each band be separate in your modem/router/gateway's configuration)
