Vertical black lines on NEW Roku Express - tried on TWO different screens
I have just purchased a brand new Roku Express. This is the second Express I have bought and set up this week. The second one has black lines running down the screen, interfering with the picture. These lines are pixel-thin and go from top to bottom. They sometimes change color, to green for example. I have tried multiple HDMI cables and two separate displays. The problem persists. Note that the first Express I set up earlier in the week works fine on both of these displays, and with all cables tested.
Is this a software problem that I can fix on my own? Or do I have a defective unit that will need to be replaced?
I have already discarded the packaging, but I can show proof of my purchase on Amazon.
It sounds like you've already done any troubleshooting I would suggest. I think you should return this to Amazon and get a replacement..
