The files I have edited, to remove color space info etc are now not working anymore and are oversaturated again.
Do you have any idea if they are ever going to fix this? Thanks
Brand new Roku Ultra, same problem...
Plex playing MKV with HEVC -> RED RED RED
Converting MKV to MP4 works, but at what cost!
(forcing direct play only works 80% of the time every time)
@@fatlynx.... I don't think they will fix it....obviously it's not important to them or they would have had a relatively quick fix...but since it's been over a year... who knows
I have this same problem on all my streaming services. Any ideas on fixes.
If it really is on all your streaming services, it likely isn't the same problem that is being discussed in this thread. Check the display settings on your TV to make sure HDR isn't forced on somehow. And check the display type in your Roku settings to make sure it matches your TV.
The problem in this thread is confined to HEVC (H.265) video. It doesn't show up on older H.264 stuff.
Same issue... It's very frustrating. I have noticed that even the Roku menu seems off in color... Just a little richer. I've let mine sit for months waiting on a fix...
Have you checked your television's settings? On my Sony, the workaround is to open Video Signal and 1) make sure HDR is turned Off for non-HDR programming and 2} make sure the Colorspace is set for bt709 for non-HDR material. Of course when playing HDR, both have to be set to auto.
