Unable to add Britbox

Hi, I have a Roku3 (4200) and want to watch BritBox ( I’m in the UK) . I don’t think it is available, however I tried a workaround, by enabling mirroring on my iPad and also on the ROKU. I can see all the available programs to watch on the TV screen. When I select any program, it downloads perfectly, even mirrors the BritBox logo. However after this I only get sound but no video / picture.

I would appreciate if anyone can help.

Re: Unable to add Britbox

Hi @agh55,

Thanks for posting in the Roku Community! I'd be happy to take a closer look to see how we can help.

Yes, BritBox has not yet been made available by the channel provider in the UK on the Roku platform.

I understand that you are trying to access Britbox using Airplay with your IPad, is that correct?

Please make sure that your Roku 3(4200) is running the latest Roku 10.0 OS by going to go to the home screen and select Settings > System > About.

If you're still experiencing an issue, try checking for any system updates in Settings >System > System update > Check now.

You may refer to this link: How do I update the software on my Roku® streaming device?

If you are still having any issues after following these steps, please provide the serial number of your Roku device so we can assist further.

Thanks,
Mary

Re: Unable to add Britbox

Hi Mary

Thanks for your reply, I can confirm my Roku software is at 10.00 build 4195-04. I have also checked there were no further updates this morning. I can also confirm my iPad is at the latest version iPadOS 14.6.

The problem with Britbox still exists, sound but no video.

Re: Unable to add Britbox

Hi, I contacted Britbox and they advised they don't support "Casting" from an I-Pad to the a ROKU box
