My roku sticks keeps turning off. There is no light on my roku and on the tv it’s says it has no input. Then I hit the reset button on the roku stick, the light comes in (white) and it works again. I have a 2021 Sony Bravia tv.
How are you powering your Stick? If you're using the TV's USB port, it might be turning the power off. If you're using the wall power supply, it might be failing. Roku devices don't have an on/off function. If they have power, they are always "on", but might enter a low power mode. You might also try a different screensaver on the Roku. Perhaps something in the one you're using is triggering the video output off.
Instead of pressing the reset button in the Stick, does anything happen if you simply press a button on the Roku remote?
Exactly what model Stick do you have? I'm just wondering if it's an older one that might be experiencing some sort of internal failure.
I have the same issue with a brand new roku stick. I cannot find a solution.
Hi @Susd
Thanks for the post.
Could you tell us how are you powering your Roku device? Is it connected to the USB port of the TV or to a wall outlet? In some cases, the USB power provided by the TV is not sufficient to power the device. Even though your Roku device may appear to be working, running with insufficient power can lead to instability, crashing, and other unpredictable behavior.
Using the included power cord and power adapter, we suggest plugging your Roku into a working power outlet in the wall. Powering it through a power outlet in the wall has the additional advantage that your Roku player will not need to power up every time you turn on your TV. This means your Roku player will be up and running faster than it would be connected to a TV.
Please keep us posted!
All the best,
Kariza
I am using the power cord and adapter plugged into the wall. Is that the only solution?
@Susd, there's a new "power saving" setting on some devices under Settings->System->Power. See if you have it and if disabling it helps.

THANK YOU for your post! You identified the solution to my issue: Roku stick turning off after TV is shut down, despite being plugged into power outlet with steady power supply. I had no idea that there was a power saving function default (turns off the Roku stick after 20 min of no activity). Once I unselected the power saving option, my stick stayed on indefinitely with the white light showing.
Hopefully others with the same issue will find this thread!
It turns out I needed to buy an extender for my wi fi. The roku stick was receiving the a strong enough internet signal.
