My streaming stick has recently started overheating. It has great ventilation so that's not the cause.
Warranty? So sad too bad?
Did you try the HDMI extender? If you're in the US you can request one at https://my.roku.com/HDMI (other countries may work, but I wouldn't count on it) or just save yourself the trouble and get one for a few bucks online.

so the stick was overheating but the onscreen message always only said low battery. i've tried plugging into a different outlet, using a different power adapter, a different HDMI port, using the supplied HDMI extension cable, even running a fan, nothing works now. in the past, before even resorting to using the HDMI extension, i would still be able to use the streaming apps for 15 -20 minutes after enough cooling downtime before the warning pops up again, but now, it immediately displays the low battery warning on boot rendering the stick unusable. what should i do? please advise. thank you.
Mine overheats as well but only when watching Disney+.
Hey @HowellJas
