Startup screen says Power On/Check Connection/Source

I have a streaming stick 4.0. When I turn my TV on, I get a screen with 3 choices: Power On,Check Connection and Source. I just click OK and it goes to the home screen, but why is this screen showing up and how can I get rid of it? Totally confuses my elderly mother when she turns on the TV.

Re: Startup screen says Power On/Check Connection/Source

Hi @sunjunkie

Thanks for the post.

The screen with 3 choices looks like a feature on your TV where your Roku stick is connected. Have you tried connecting your Roku to a different television to see if the same thing will occur?

Also, please be advised that for your Roku device to work, you must select the input (sometimes referred to as source) that matches the one to which you have the Roku player connected.

For more information, you can visit this article: What to do if you cannot see the picture from your Roku® streaming player on your TV

Please keep us posted.

All the best,
Kariza

Try using the Roku remote if you are now using the TV remote to power on the TV.

We're using the Roku remote. Not using the TV remote at all.
