Roku seems like it's working with audio, program icons, timer circles, video frames, etc. But when I try to stream something the video is black. Also if I highlight a video in the YouTube app when it previews the video the preview box goes black. It's not just in YouTube. In PlutoTV, CBS News, Fox News, and almost every other stream the video is black. It's a new Roku Streaming Stick 4K. I've tried, rebooting, factory reset, and unplugging everything overnight. Wi-Fi and internet work fine. Please help, thank you.
I would suggest trying the different options under Settings->Display type. Auto may not be working. Another thing to try is a different HDMI input on your TV if it has more than one.
Thanks for the reply. I tried changing the Display Setting from the auto-detected 1080 to 720. I tried changing HDMI ports. No change in behavior.
Can you try the stick on another TV? One thing I didn't mention is to make sure you're using the supplied USB power adapter and not the TV's USB port which can cause all kinds of strange problems.
