Sound Distortion with Streaming Stick+

Hi! I have a Roku Streaming Stick+ that has been having audio issues. I initially thought it was the TV it was connected to as it was a very old Samsung. About 2 months ago I got rid of that TV and connected my Streaming Stick+ to a newer Vizio. The issues are still happening which makes me believe its the Streaming Stick+. I’ll be in the middle of a show & the sound will become extremely distorted. (lowered volume, muffled voices, static, etc.,) It doesn’t matter what streaming channel I’m on. The only way I have solved the problem is by completely restarting the device. It’s extremely frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you handle it?

We get that there’s a problem with the audio on your Roku Streaming Stick, and we want to look into it more for you.

We'd really appreciate it if you could tell us the more info below.

  • When did you first notice this issue?
  • Aside from rebooting your device, what other steps you have taken so far?
  • Are there any recent updates before this happened? If so, can you please provide the latest software version of your Roku Streaming Stick (It can be found in Settings > System > About.)
