This is on a Hisense Model 40H4030, Roku TV 8211X, Software Version10.5.0 build4210-90. Just within the past week or so I get slow loading and constant buffering on Roku TV streaming channels and on Pluto TV.
I've done a factory reset on the TV, uninstalled and reinstalled Roku TV and Pluto Channels and restarted the system. I don't have these problems streaming Youtube, Amazon Prime TV, Hulu or any other channels. I've checked my modem and wifi and it is just fine. I also experienced buffering when I attempted to view Roku TV streaming channels on my laptop.
Not sure what else I can do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for the post.
In general, buffering issues are related to wireless network connectivity issues. Have you tried changing the wireless broadcast channel on the router to see if that helps?
For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried connecting your Roku device to an alternate wireless network, such as a mobile hotspot, to see if you are seeing the same issue occur?
Please keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
Danny
I changed the wireless broadcast channel and that didn't help. I also tried a mobile hotspot and that didn't help either.
Just to clarify what's goin on. When I go to the Roku TV streaming channels, i go to a channel, it works fine for a minute or two and then the screen goes black and there's no sound. I assume it's buffering. After a minute or two, the picture and sound come back. This behavior continues.
When I am on Pluto TV, it basically does the same thing. The channel loads fine at first and then after a bit, it starts buffering, going to the load screen. Back and forth, etc.
I was able to watch both Roku TV and Pluto TV on my cell phone, connected to my wifi, with no problems.
As I said before, I have ZERO problems streaming Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, and others. It's only Roku TV and Pluto TV on my Hisense Roku TV on my wifi.
Thanks.
