I just purchased a roku ultra LT model 4662rw. I set it up on a TV where I had an express model and everything worked fine until I turned the TV off. If you turn the TV off or even change the input, I need to unplug power from the roku for it to work again.
My express works on the TV still. I can have the ultra working, keep pressing a button the the roku remote, change the input on the TV for one second and go back to the roku input and I will need to unplug power from the roku for it to display again.
There is no update available. It is software 10. 5.0 build 4208. There is no power management option which I read about on here.
Any ideas? I have two other rokus that work fine and this new one is a hassle.
Thanks.
I had a similar problem with the Express 4K + that I connected to an extra tv. I have Xfinity in my home. This is what I found on another thread.
Go to Home-Settings -System-Power- Fast Tv Start -Enable Fast tv
Mine did not have the Fast TV Start nor the Enable Fast Tv so I had to wander a bit after Power. Not that many choices so you will find it. The idea is that it was factory set to save power. The one I clicked on basically had a warning that it may use more power, higher electric costs. Really strange. Anyway solved the problem.
But I have other problems adding more than one channel from Discovery. HGTV and Food Network. Good luck.
Thank you but I do not have any settings for power. I've checked a bunch of times and I can't find them.
The menu path posted by @Dahl is only available for actual Roku TVs, not stand-alone devices. @Bigpaul13 , you have no Settings->System->Power menu path? Not all Roku devices do.
Thank you, I do not have that menu path and I don't see it hiding anywhere else.
Sorry for the confusion. My roku is a stand alone device. As I said I had to explore a little in order to find something close to what had been described. In any case it worked for me. Good luck.
