I have an issue with the Roku 2, where I open Netflix and try and play a show and it will play one or two frames lasting a fraction of a second and then jump back to the home screen. Powering down and back up resolves it but it comes back later in the day. I initially thought I may get around it by putting the Roku on a timer so it powers down each night and switches back on in the morning, but this didn't help as powering down is only a very temporary fix. It is very frustrating. Does anyone have a fix for this? This is not showing the same symptom as the other issue I read where if jumps out after 30 minutes as it happens immediately.
Hello @KeRa
Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing.
We suggest you remove the channel > restart your Roku > add the channel back in. Feel free to follow the instructions below:
Let us know how it goes!
All the best,

Roku light ultra just bought returns to menu, all the time and all channels even the roku channel, I have taken them off and put them back on, moved my cord to another outlet. All kinds of things and it still does it, should I return it to amaxon
I discovered a work around (that I shouldn't need to do) as none of the suggested fixes worked. I encountered the problem after the unit had been left on for a while and restarting it would stop it for many hours. I have changed my set up so that I don't leave the Roku on and start it when my system starts up, it takes a bit longer to wait for the start up screen to finish on the Roku, but I no longer get the issue with it returning to the start screen. Thanks for the post.
We would recommend trying to check for a software update by going to: Settings > System > System update > Check now, then restarting your Roku device.
If you are still experiencing an issue, can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing
Thanks,
Danny
