Roku premiere dims picture too dark after dark with living room lights on. Have to turn on a light next to TV to correct brightness. Running on Samsung UN40 TV HDMI input 3. All other HDMI inputs are not auto dimming. Can auto dimming be turned off?
Here's something i bing'd up on turning off auto-dimming on Samsung TVs (The article says the feature needs to be set the way you want it for each input.)

Thanks for the info. Article is for a much newer Samsung than mine. Mine is a 2016 without the Eco settings. But it did help to know that each HDMI had separate settings. I then went to my HDMI 3 and then to Settings/Picture/Picture mode and change Standard to Dynamic. I had to wait until evening to see that it fix my dimming problem.
Thanks again
Thank you.
Plugged hdmi Roku cord into hdmi #2 instead of 3 or 4 and that totally fixed the dimming problem!
