Roku overheating message. Device is not in a hot location.

I've followed the suggestions of where to place the Roku device.  I've even had is suspended in mid-air, in front of the TV where it is in room-temp (70F) air.   Eventually the device will produce the overheat message with every use.  Need assistance with this.

Thanks for getting in contact regarding your overheating issue.

What Roku model device are you using? Please be noted that it's fairly normal for your device to get warm during use.
We would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps from the Roku support link: What should I do if the red light is on or I see a “Your ... 

If you are still experiencing an issue, please send me a private message with your Roku account email address and include the serial number of the Roku device from Settings>System>About along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps provided in the post by @RokuMary-F?

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, please provide the serial number of your Roku device from Settings>System>About? I'll be able to assist you further from there.

I sure did give those things a shot and none of them worked. It's a Premiere.

How can I send it in a direct message? Not comfortable posting the Serial number for all to see.

I am going to say this, Roku's ought to put vent holes in their products! Their devices has no way to release heat so the heat stays in the box! In doing so the board inside gets hot, over heats and starts to play havoc on the streaming devices. I myself have opened the the devices removed the motherboard inside very carefully, and then drilled vent holes in the top of Roku case and placed the Roku motherboard back into device   so they can keep cooler. Am I saying you should do this? Not at all! but for me it helped. I bought an express a while back, the heat was so bad in it that it fried my wifi dongle, and since they was no Ethernet Port on the device, to connect, it turned that streaming device into nothing more then a paper weight!
