I have read more then a few of the same issues without a universal way to fix this problem.
My roku model is 3930RW-ROKU express
I have run every update.
I have factory restarted
I have deleted channel and reloaded
My Roku will play 3 to 4 minutes on HULU NETFLIX AMAZON PRIME and HISTORY VAULT, then return to home screen. Any different ideas or comments. Any idea is welcome no matter how outlandish.
So it is crashing.
And is happening across the board.
The channels you listed are all resource heavy.
and your Roku Model is a lower end Model.
If youve tried everything I think you need to upgrade.
I found this on another thread in this forum, and I'm pretty certain that it's what solved my issue. I had already tried unplugging it, modem reset, secret menu settings, software update, and factory reset.
Anyway, here's what I did and it seems to have fixed things.
1. Drain the power of the TV.
a. Turn the TV off and unplug it from the power outlet.
b. Unplug all external devices from the TV.
c. Press and hold the manual power button of the TV for 15 seconds.
d. Plug the TV back to the outlet.
2. Perform a System Restart.
a. Go to Settings.
b. Select System.
c. Select Power.
d. Select System Restart.
I have been having this same issue for weeks now with my Roku Express. I have updated the device, uninstalled the affected apps (pretty much all of them), restarted the device and added back the apps...nothing works and, frankly, is QUITE aggravating. Is there any bug fix coming? Did I just throw my money away on Roku? Do I need to get a different product from a different provider? Some direction and actual solutions would be nice considering I, and hundreds of thousands if not millions of other hard working people, have spent hard earned money on a device that no longer works.
Did you happen to try the TV reset that I posted above? That's what finally ended working for me. I had tried all of the other things suggested, too
Yes I tried that. I have the cheap 30 dollar roku. But I did every step from other threads. I have tried calling roku but all i get is all lines are busy.
I did try uninstalling most of whats on my roku. Only netflix doesnt restart over.

Hope it works. I was incredibly surprised that it worked for me, because I really had tried everything else - I'd been messing with it for hours!
Tried the power drain/restart...worked for the Roku channel, but not prime video. Anything else I might try, please? Thanks.
