Roku freezes when fast forwarding on-demand shows

Happens for me using the Spectrum app watching a DVR’ed show, or the ESPN+ app watching an on-demand show.

i fast forward a bit and it freezes.  Only solution is to quit app and restart

We understand that you're experiencing playback issues when streaming on your Roku and we'd like to dive into this matter further.

If these are the only channels experiencing the issue, could you also try following the steps below to see if they resolve the issue? 

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
  2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.
