Roku Streaming Stick + showing no signal. Has been working fine and all of a sudden went dead. I tried resetting, unplugging, and will not do anything. TV shows no signal. Stick will not start up.
How are you powering the Stick? If you are using the USB port in your TV, try connecting directly to a wall outlet with the power cube it came with.
It has been plugged into the wall the whole time.
OK. Next suggestion is to try it in a different power outlet, and/or trying it on a different TV. Simply trying to eliminate the variables. If it still doesn't work on different power or TV, then I'd try a hard factory reset. There's a recessed button somewhere on the stick. While it's plugged in and connected to the TV, press and hold that button for a minimum of 30 seconds. Not one second less, regardless of what you might see on the screen. If it starts back up in setup mode, you should be fine. Just set it back up like when it was new. All your previous channels will reload, but you'll need to enter any login credentials in channels that require it.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, then it's likely defective, and I would send your information to @RokuDanny-R via a private message (not here in the public forum) and he can assist.
Sadly I would say the WiFi Dongle is burned out! If Roku would put some kind of vent holes in their streaming devices they would last a lot longer, and things like burning up components on their motherboards like the WiFi Dongle would not occur, or at least one would get a few more years out of them maybe! The least they could do is put an Ethernet port on these things if the dongle does go bad, so one could still connect! Sorry I couldn't help You!
